Senior Design Project
Our senior design project focuses on addressing the challenges associated with IV tubing in ICUs, particularly during patient transfers or when flipping patients. These situations can lead to tubing tangles or disruptions, which we aim to resolve.
As the designer for this project, my responsibilities include creating detailed sketches, developing 3D models using Autodesk Fusion, and producing prototypes with 3D printing.
Currently, our team is working on redesigning the head of the "Robot Arm" to enhance its functionality and better support the overall design. We achieved success at the Fall 2024 Senior Design Expo, and it has been such a rewarding experience working with my group members.
During spring 2025 semester, we redesign the structure for "Head Design". We separate them into three different parts, with blocker, separator and spring structure.
Thinking about the tube Fall24

First Design Comes Out Fall24
Our fitst design comes out, using PVC tube and line to represent patient and IV tubes.
3D Model in Autofusion Fall24
I use Auto fusion 360 to make 3D model.
3D S5 Printer in Hillman Library Fall24
40% Density with normal surpport and print using white PLA.
Get 3D Printing Model Fall24
We get the 3D printing model, and make them works.
Combining them together to show the inside demo Fall24
Use the 3D model and see what we can improve.

We redesign the head design. Becuase of this, we are going to have better view for tubing design.
