About

Hallo! 你好!

My name is Jiaxuan (Nicole) Kong, and I am from Nanjing, China, a beautiful and historic city near the east coast.

I came to the U.S. in 2021 to study Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh. During my undergrad, I focused on bioimaging and signal processing, and now as a PhD student in Heart Development Lab, I am exploring molecular, cellular, and systems engineering. I really enjoy research and discovering new things.

Besides academics, I have many hobbies—I love learning languages, doing DIY projects, playing guitar and piano, cooking, and I’m also a member of the archery club here at Pitt.
